Heritage Video Production

Telling the stories of craftsmen, creators, and custodians of history.

Telling the stories that keep our heritage alive.

Based in Yorkshire and working across the UK, Hewitt & Walker craft heritage films that celebrate the people, places, and traditions shaping our history. Our work brings the past to life, from museum installations and educational films to social media content and TV features.

We’ve told the stories of craftsmen, explored the work of historians and conservators, and collaborated with organisations from local heritage charities to country wide organisations like English Heritage.

Whether promotional, educational, or documentary, our films honour the dedication and artistry that keep heritage alive.

Educational

We create educational heritage films and animations that bring history to life for students. Working with schools and learning teams across Yorkshire and the UK, our educational videos make complex stories engaging and accessible, from historic events and conservation projects to the craftsmanship behind cultural treasures.

Funding

Our heritage project films help organisations share the impact of their work with funders, stakeholders, and the public. Whether it’s restoring castle ruins, reimagining museums, or saving a steam engine, we tell the human stories behind the funding — capturing the passion, purpose, and progress that make heritage projects possible.

Museum Installation

We produce museum installation videos and animations that transform exhibitions and displays into immersive experiences. Working with curators and interpretation teams, we bring objects, archives, and personal stories to life — helping visitors connect emotionally with heritage through film, sound, and motion.

Social Media Campaigns

We also create social media videos for heritage organisations, helping museums, historic sites, and cultural venues reach new audiences online. From short films that showcase their stories to campaigns promoting special exhibitions or seasonal events, our content engages, informs, and inspires — extending the life of heritage beyond the walls of the museum.
