We had the absolute pleasure of working on both seasons of Brickies for BBC Three — a warm, funny and surprisingly moving behind-the-scenes look at life on the building site. Following a tight-knit crew of twenty-somethings chasing success one brick at a time, the series captures graft, friendship and ambition with real honesty. No gloss, no gimmicks — just people figuring things out together, usually with a lot of mud involved.

The series was produced and directed by the brilliant team at Button Down, who shaped the tone and storytelling across both seasons. From our side, Hewitt & Walker’s Ollie Bostock led cinematography across the series, edited across all episodes, and handled the series photography. On top of that, Ollie designed the posters for both Series 1 and Series 2 — a proper end-to-end creative role that helped define the visual identity of the show on and off screen.

Our post-production and animation teams brought everything together with bespoke title graphics and on-screen animations that complemented the raw, character-led footage without overpowering it. Projects like Brickies are exactly why we do what we do — people-first storytelling, strong collaboration, and space for craft at every stage.
