For Visit York, we created The Most Haunted City in Europe — a faux Netflix–style trailer inspired by true-crime paranormal investigations. Shot and edited like a chilling documentary teaser, the film reframes York as a place where strange sightings are mounting, tensions are rising, and someone needs to investigate. Dark, cinematic and deliberately tongue-in-cheek, it plays with the conventions of streaming crime series while celebrating the city’s legendary atmosphere.

Working alongside First Bus and York Dungeon, with Visit York at the helm, we directed the campaign from concept through to final delivery. The aim was to create something that felt bold and contemporary — a tourism film that didn’t look like a tourism film — blending humour, suspense and high-end production to grab attention fast.
